How to add pickeasy rates in Shopify shipping settings

Shopify is transitioning its shipping configuration from the traditional shipping profile and shipping zone-based setup to Market-driven Shipping, where shipping options are managed directly within individual Shopify Markets.

With Market-driven Shipping, each Shopify Market can have its own shipping options and rate providers. If you want Pickeasy to provide shipping rates for a particular Market, Pickeasy must be added as a rate provider within that Market.

📌

If you are using Shopify's legacy shipping configuration, you can add Pickeasy as a rate provider under Shopify Admin → Settings → Shipping and delivery → Shipping profile.

If your store has been migrated to Market-driven Shipping, please refer to the guide below to add Pickeasy as a rate provider for your required Market.

Before You Start

Before configuring Pickeasy with Market-driven Shipping, make sure your Shopify store has:

  • The required Shopify Markets and regions configured.
  • Pickeasy installed and configured.
  • The required products and fulfillment locations available for the relevant Market.
⚠️

Important: Installing Pickeasy does not automatically add Pickeasy as a rate provider to every Shopify Market. Pickeasy must be added to each Market where you want Pickeasy shipping rates to be available at checkout.

Add Pickeasy as a Rate Provider

Once your store is using Market-driven Shipping, you need to add Pickeasy as a rate provider for the Markets where you want Pickeasy shipping rates to appear.

Step 1: Open the Shopify Market

  1. Go to Shopify Admin.
  1. Navigate to Markets.
  1. Select the Market where you want to enable Pickeasy.
  1. Open the Shipping section.

Step 2: Add Pickeasy

  1. Click Add shipping option.
  1. Select Carrier or app calculated as the rate type.
  1. Select Pickeasy as the rate provider.
  1. Complete the required configuration.
  1. Save the changes.

Once Pickeasy has been added as a rate provider, Shopify can send shipping rate requests for that Market to Pickeasy.

Pickeasy will then calculate and return the applicable shipping rates based on the configurations available within the app.

Alternatively, Manage Pickeasy as a Rate Provider from the App

You can also access the Market configuration directly from the Pickeasy app.

  1. Open the Pickeasy app in Shopify Admin.
  1. Go to the Rate section.
  1. Locate the Manage Pickeasy in your market banner.
  1. Click View markets.
  1. Select the Markets where you want Pickeasy to provide shipping rates.
  1. Configure Pickeasy as a rate provider for the required Markets.

Tip: If your store has multiple Markets, review each Market individually and make sure Pickeasy is configured wherever Pickeasy shipping rates are required.

Migrating from Legacy Shipping to Market-Driven Shipping

Shopify is transitioning stores from the legacy shipping profile and shipping zone-based configuration to Market-driven Shipping.

Under the new system, shipping options are managed through individual Shopify Markets instead of being managed solely through the previous shipping profile and shipping zone configuration.

⚠️

Important: Shopify currently allows eligible stores to opt out of Market-driven Shipping during the transition period until July 1, 2027.

If your store is currently using the legacy shipping configuration, you can continue using Pickeasy with your existing setup.

After Migrating to Market-Driven Shipping

Once your Shopify store has been migrated to Market-driven Shipping, you will need to configure Pickeasy within the required Shopify Markets.

After completing the migration:

  1. Review your Shopify Markets.
  1. Add Pickeasy as a rate provider to the required Markets.
  1. Save the Market configuration.
  1. Test the shipping rates at checkout.
  1. Confirm that the rates are being returned according to your existing Pickeasy configuration.
⚠️

Important: Pickeasy will not automatically become a rate provider for every Market after the migration. The required Market configuration must be completed in Shopify.

Using Pickeasy with Legacy Shipping

If you continue using Pickeasy with Shopify's legacy shipping configuration, there are no changes required to your existing Pickeasy setup.

Pickeasy will continue to function with the existing shipping profiles and zones as configured.

You only need to follow the Market-driven Shipping setup once your Shopify store is migrated to the new configuration.

Troubleshooting & Important Checks

If Pickeasy shipping rates are not appearing correctly after configuring Market-driven Shipping, review the following items before troubleshooting the Pickeasy configuration.

1. Check Whether Pickeasy Is Added to the Market

Go to the relevant Shopify Market and open its Shipping section.

Confirm that Pickeasy has been added as a Carrier or app calculated rate provider.

Common issue: Pickeasy is installed on the store, but it has not been added as a rate provider to the specific Market where the customer is checking out.

2. Check the Applicable Products

Verify that the products being tested are included in the relevant Market and shipping configuration.

If the product is not included in the applicable configuration, Shopify may not send the expected rate request to Pickeasy.

3. Check Fulfillment Locations

Verify that all required fulfillment locations are included in the Market's shipping configuration.

An incorrect or missing fulfillment location can affect the rate request sent to Pickeasy and may prevent the expected shipping rates from appearing.

4. Check the Market and Destination

Confirm that the customer's destination belongs to the Shopify Market where Pickeasy has been configured.

If the destination is associated with a different Market, Pickeasy must also be configured as a rate provider for that Market if shipping rates are required there.

6. Legacy vs. Market-Driven Configuration

If Pickeasy is working correctly under the legacy configuration but not after migration, verify that Pickeasy has been added as a rate provider to the relevant Shopify Market.

The Market-driven configuration is managed through Shopify Markets, so the legacy shipping profile configuration should not be assumed to automatically carry over as the new Market configuration.
