If you have specific products, product tags, or collections that require different preparation time, you can set them up using the Preparation time override without changing the preparation days used for the rest of your store.
Example Scenario: A custom bouquet takes longer to prepare than a standard one. (or)
Your store normally requires 1 preparation day before an order can be fulfilled. However, some customised cakes require 3 preparation days.
How to set up product overrides by preparation time
1. Under the Product overrides section, click on Add overrides.

2. From the options given, click Create under the Preparation time option.

3. Name your override. (Example: Same day orders)

4. Choose how you want to apply the override:
- Specific products – Apply the rule to selected products.
- Product tags – Apply the rule to products with a specific Shopify product tag.
- Collections – Apply the rule to products in a selected collection.
If you select Specific products,
1. Click on Add products.

2. Choose the specific product(s) from the product list shown and press Add.

If you select Product tags,
1. Choose how you want the tag to match under Matching type.

If you choose Equal, the override will apply for all products with the entered tags.
If you choose Does not equal, the override will apply to all products without those tags.
2. Enter the tags in the given space and press Add tag.

If you select Collections,
1. Click on Add collections.

2. Choose the collection you wish to enable the override for and click Add.

The override will apply to the products included in the selected collection.
Configure the preparation time
1. Enter the preparation time required for the selected products.
Preparation time can be set in hours, days, and minutes. Make sure the entered time matches the actual time needed to prepare the products.

2. If you wish to configure different overrides for local delivery and store pickup, switch to the Store pickup tab and disable the Apply local delivery settings to store pickup toggle.

3. Repeat the configuration for store pickup.
4. Press Save.
Override priority:
When the same product is included in multiple overrides, the following priority hierarchy is applied:
Specific Product >Product Tag >Collection
