If you have specific products that are only available on specific dates and times, you can block out the availability time using the “Block out specific date and times” override.
Example Scenario: Christmas special products are available only on December 24th.
You can create overrides using either product tags or SKU codes.
Note: To add a tag or SKU to your products, Go to Shopify Admin → Click Products → Select a product → Add a tag or SKU → Click Save.
How to set product overrides by block dates and times
1. Go to the Product overrides section and click the “Add Override” button.
2. Select “Block dates and times” as the override type.
3. Enter the product tag(s) and click the “Add” button.
Note: For product variants with different conditions, use SKU codes instead. Click the dropdown next to SKU Codes, select Partial Match or Exact Match, and enter the codes.
4. Click “Add blackout slots” to block out specific dates and times for delivery.
5. Click “Select Date”, select a date or range of dates, then click the “Ok” button.
6. Enable “Date Range with Time Slots”, set start and end time, and click the “Add” button.
Note: To enable “Date Range with Time Slots” you must have selected the “Date & time range “ option on the Slots & Order Limits section.
7. To set different block out for Store Pickup, switch to the Store Pickup tab.
8. Disable “Same as local delivery” to configure separately. Otherwise, click the “Save” button.
