Pickup Rates allow you to configure pickup fees based on the Pickup locations enabled in your Pickeasy store.
Pickup is commonly offered as a free, so in most cases, you may not need to configure a pickup fee. However, if your store charges a pickup fee or needs to apply different pickup rates based on specific conditions, you can configure those rates using Pickeasy.
For example, you may want to:
- Charge a pickup fee based on the total order value.
- Apply a different fee when the order exceeds a specific weight.
- Charge a fee for specific products.
- Add an additional charge for certain pickup time slots.
- Apply different rates for same-day and future-day pickups.
- Set different rates for weekdays and weekends.
- Apply special rates for specific pickup dates or date ranges.
Pickup rates can also be configured differently for each Pickup location. This is useful when different locations have different pickup charges.
Note: If no pickup rate is configured in Pickeasy, Free Pickup will be displayed by default at checkout.
How to Configure Pickup Rates
To configure Pickup Rates:
- Go to Pickeasy → Rates → Store Pickup.
- Click Add Group.
- Enter a Zone Name.
- Add the required Pickup location(s) and Click Sync.
- Select the required rate condition and configure the pickup fee.
You can create different rate groups when different Pickup locations require different rates.
Available Pickup Rate Conditions
Pickeasy allows you to configure pickup rates based on different conditions. Choose the condition that matches how you want to calculate the pickup fee.
Rates by Order Value
Use Rates by Order Value when the pickup fee should change based on the total value of the order.
Example:
- Order total below $500 → $30
- Order total above $500 → Free
If pickup is always free and you do not need an order value condition, you can simply configure the pickup rate as $0.
Which Rate Condition Should You Use?
Choose the condition based on what determines your pickup fee:
- Order Value → Based on the total order amount.
- Weight → Based on the total product weight.
- Products → Based on specific products using their SKU.
- Time → Based on the selected pickup time.
- Days → Based on same-day or future pickup days.
- Pickup Dates → Based on specific dates or date ranges.
- Days of the Week → Based on weekdays, weekends, or specific days.
- Advanced Rate Conditions → When the rate needs to depend on multiple conditions.
Important Notes
- Pickup rates can be configured based on the Pickup locations enabled in Pickeasy.
- If no pickup rate is configured, Free Pickup will be displayed by default.
- Advanced Rate Conditions are available from the Premium plan.
- For product-based rates, make sure the required products have the appropriate SKU codes configured in Shopify.
- If different Pickup locations require different fees, you can configure separate rate groups for those locations.
- We recommend testing the configured pickup rates on your storefront to make sure the expected rate is displayed based on the selected conditions.
