Define delivery zones and assign delivery rates based on customer ZIP or postal codes.
Pickeasy allows you to configure custom local delivery zones and assign delivery rates based on customer ZIP or postal codes. This helps you control where delivery is available and how much customers are charged depending on their location.
How to configure ZIP code-based delivery zones and pricing
1. Open the Pickeasy app from your Shopify admin and navigate to the Rates section.
2. In the General section, select the ZIP code matching method.
- Partial Match: Use partial codes with an asterisk (*) to match multiple ZIP codes that start with the same digits.
- Example:
100* → Matches ZIP codes such as10001,10002,10099- Use a colon to specify a range of numeric zip codes (e.g.,
100400:100500) - Use both colon and comma to separate ranges (e.g.,
10001:10030,10050:10075)
- Exact Match: Enter the complete ZIP code to match only that specific code.
- Example:
10001,10002,10099
3. Scroll to the Local Delivery Rates section and click Add zone.
Note: To modify an existing zone, open the zone and configure the rates for the ZIP codes.
4. Enter a name to easily identify the delivery zone.
- Example: Downtown Delivery, City Center Zone, Suburban Delivery.
5. Enable Mark this zone as fallback if you want this zone to apply when ZIP codes in other zones do not match.
6. Enter the zip codes to which you deliver your orders.
You can use the following formats tor define ZIP codes:
- Use comma to separate multiple zip codes with commas (e.g.,
10001,10002,10003)
- Use a colon to specify a range of numeric zip codes (e.g., 1
00400:100500)
- Use both colon and comma to separate ranges (e.g.,
10001:10030,10050:10075)
- Use an asterisk to include all zipcodes starting with specific numbers (e.g.,
100*will include all zip codes starting with 100)
- Enter ZIP codes that should not receive delivery, even if they fall within the delivery zone.
- If your store uses UK postal codes, enable UK support.
- Go to Pickeasy Settings → Widget Configurations → Zip Code Checker
- Enable Enable UK zip code support.
- Use an underscore (_) instead of spaces when entering UK postal codes.
- Examples: Partial match >> HB1_*; Exact match >> HB1_2BA.
9. In the Delivery Rates by Price section, click Add Rate by Price.
10. Enter a rate name that customers will see at checkout.
- Example: Standard Delivery, Same-Day Delivery, Express Delivery
11. Give a description to your delivery rate if needed. This will appear on the checkout page too.
12. Set the delivery rate for the zip codes. For free delivery set the rate as 0.
13. Enter the minimum and maximum order value if needed and click the Add button.
- Example:
- $0 – $50 → $5 delivery fee
- $50 – $100 → $3 delivery fee
- $100+ → Free delivery
14. Click the Save to save the delivery zone and rates.
Repeat the process to create multiple delivery zones with different ZIP codes and delivery rates. This allows you to configure different pricing for different locations.
