You can define custom local delivery zones and set rates based on zip codes using Pickeasy.
Follow these steps to configure your zip-code–based delivery zones and pricing:
1. Go to Pickeasy “Rates” section.
2. In the General section, choose the type of zip code matching: Partial match or Exact match.
- Partial Match: Enter partial code with an asterisk to include all zip codes that start with those digits. For example,
100*will match10001,10002,10099, etc.
- Exact Match: You have to enter the whole zip code.
3. Now, click on “Add Local Delivery Zone” in the Local Delivery Rates section.
Note: For existing zones, click on the zone and configure rates for the zip codes.
4. Enter a name for the new delivery zone.
5. Optionally, enable the “Mark this zone as fallback” option if you want to set this zone as a fallback when zip codes in other zones don’t match.
6. Enter the zip codes to which you deliver your orders.
Important Notes to enter Zip Codes
- Use comma to separate multiple zip codes with commas (e.g.,
10001,10002,10003)
- Use a colon to specify a range of numeric zip codes (e.g., 1
00400:100500)
- Use both colon and comma to separate ranges (e.g.,
10001:10030,10050:10075)
- Use an asterisk to include all zipcodes starting with specific numbers (e.g.,
100*will include all zip codes starting with 100)
Important Notes to use UK zip codes
- Go to Pickeasy “Settings”. Then, click “Edit” on Widget Configurations.
- Click “Zip Code Checker” and enable “Enable UK zip code support.
- Use an underscore to denote a space. For Partial Match, enter
HB1_*For Exact Match, enterHB1_2BA.
7. Optionally, you can also enter the zip codes you want to exclude from your delivery.
8. Under “Delivery Rates by Price”, click the “Add Rate by Price” option.
9. Enter a delivery rate name, this name will appear on the checkout page.
10. Give a description to your delivery rate if needed. This will appear on the checkout page too.
11. Set the delivery rate for the zip codes. For free delivery set the rate as 0.
12. Enter the minimum and maximum order value if needed and click the “Add” button.
13. Click the “Save” button to save the delivery zone and rates.
14. Repeat steps 3 to 13 to set different delivery rates for different sets of zip codes.
